Hans Benedict D.S. Pena

Hans is a 20 year old Junior Student in the University of the Philippines - Los Baños, currently taking up a bachelor’s degree in Forestry under the stream of Environmental Forestry with a specialization on mangrove risk assessment and its impact on coastal communities.

With his passion in science and information visualization, he is currently working on his undergraduate thesis focusing on GIS Based Mangrove Risk Assessment which aims to analyze mangrove resiliency in the face of climate induced storm surge which can provide necessary information in terms of science-based decision making and influence policy development in the Philippines.
