Ella Mae Alleno

Ella is a BS in Fisheries graduate at the University of the Philippines Visayas and is currently pursuing MS in Ocean Sciences at the same institution. A former Chairperson of the Student Council and current SK Secretary, she is committed to empowering Filipino youth and coastal communities.

Her undergraduate research assessed the impacts of scallop shell discards on the communities in Gigantes Islands, Carles, Iloilo. She now plans to study mangrove crabs and their associated mangrove ecosystems through her master's research.

Ella enjoys playing pickleball, table tennis, and jogging during her free time, helping her maintain a healthy work-life balance.
