Usapang Bakawan Eskwelahan is Mangrove Matters PH's environmental education initiative designed to increase awareness and understanding of Philippine mangrove ecosystems among students, schools, youth organizations, and community groups.
Launched as a free webinar series, the program provides accessible and interactive learning opportunities focused on the ecological, social, and economic importance of mangroves. Through engaging discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions, participants are introduced to the fundamentals of mangrove ecosystems, the challenges they face, and the collective actions needed to ensure their protection and restoration.
The webinar series covers key topics including mangrove ecology, the role of mangroves in coastal protection and biodiversity conservation, threats to mangrove forests, and youth-led initiatives that contribute to safeguarding these critical ecosystems.
