Plog the Planet
In 2025, Mangrove Matters PH became a beneficiary of the Plog the Planet Parade Walk Run Philippines, a nationwide sustainability initiative that united fitness and environmental action. The event supported mangrove reforestation efforts at the Balaring Mangrove Ecopark in Silay City, Negros Occidental, while also contributing to educational and community programs across several coastal provinces in the Philippines.

Mangrove Matters PH was honored to be selected as one of the beneficiaries of the Plog the Planet Parade Walk Run Philippines 2025, a community-driven event that combined fitness, environmental awareness, and collective action for sustainability.
Held on September 28, 2025, at Lakeshore, C6, Taguig City, the event brought together individuals, organizations, and advocates committed to creating positive environmental impact. Through participant registrations and community support, the initiative contributed to mangrove reforestation efforts in the Balaring Mangrove Ecopark in Silay City, Negros Occidental.
Beyond ecosystem restoration, the event also supported educational initiatives and community development programs benefiting schools and fishing communities across Leyte, Samar, Masbate, Cebu, Iloilo, Cavite, and Batangas through partner organizations.
The Plog the Planet Parade Walk Run showcased the power of collective action by connecting environmental conservation, community engagement, and sustainable development. Through this partnership, Mangrove Matters PH was able to further its mission of restoring coastal ecosystems while promoting environmental stewardship among diverse sectors of society.
