Mangroves for Youth

Mangroves for Youth is an inspiring new workbook created to introduce young learners to the beauty and importance of mangroves. Written and illustrated by Genea Nichole Cortez, the book brings together storytelling, interactive activities, and creative learning tools to spark curiosity among elementary students. From engaging games to the delightful Mangrove ABCs, it offers a fun and meaningful way to connect children with nature. Supported by the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity’s Small Grants Programme, this project reflects a shared commitment to environmental education and awareness. Through this initiative, young minds are encouraged to appreciate and protect the vital ecosystems that mangroves provide.
