2026 Mangrove Calendar

In celebration of its 5th Year Anniversary, Mangrove Matters PH is proud to launch its first-ever fundraising initiative: the 2026 Mangrove Calendar. Proceeds from this project will directly support the organization’s conservation operations and community-based livelihood programs, ensuring that both nature and people benefit from the protection and restoration of our mangrove ecosystems.

The calendar beautifully showcases the rich diversity of mangrove species in the Philippines—many of which were photographed in Negros Occidental—through the lens of Matthew Vincent Tabilog, Founder of Mangrove Matters PH. Each photo is paired with the scientific and local names of the featured mangrove species, allowing viewers to appreciate both the aesthetic and ecological value of these vital trees.

“Most of these photos were captured during my college years at the Institute of Environmental and Marine Sciences of Silliman University. I have kept them for some time, but I believe now is the perfect moment to share them. With this calendar, we hope to start the new year by celebrating biodiversity and inspiring collective action for mangrove conservation,” said Tabilog.

The 2026 calendar also features Philippine holidays and global environment days for reference. What makes it even more meaningful is that for every calendar purchased, one mangrove seedling will be planted in Brgy. Siit, Siaton, Negros Oriental, in partnership with the local community group SiPaMaCoWa (Siit-Palinpinon Mangrove Conservation Walk Association). This initiative not only contributes to restoring degraded coastal areas but also provides alternative livelihood opportunities for local fisherfolk and community members who serve as caretakers of the mangroves.

Pricing

The 2026 Mangrove Calendar is priced at Php 385 each. Buyers shoulder the delivery fee, while meetups within Dumaguete City are free of charge.
