Whiskered tern (Chlidonias hybrida) - A migratory waterbird distributed along various wetlands in the country, it feeds on small insects, fish, and amphibians through plunging and dipping.

Busain (Bruguiera gymnorrhiza) - A mangrove species related to the genus Rhizophora, this medium-sized tree is notable for its flowers that are solitary and red. Further, its leaves, flowers, propagules, and lenticels are larger compared to the other Bruguiera species.
Kulasi (Lumnitzera racemosa) - A small mangrove tree with inflorescence that exhibits white, sessile flowers. This species grows in inner edges or sandy portions in the mangrove forest.
Pedada (Sonneratia caseolaris) - Also known as the mangrove apple, this species is commonly found along upstream rivers, in contrast to S. alba which is distributed along seaward zones. This species is notable for its unique roots that protrude from the ground for gas exchange, known as pneumatophores.
Mangrove blue flycatcher (Cyornis rufigastra) - A bird native to Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. This bright blue-and-orange species can be found thriving along mangrove areas.
Nipa (Nypa fruticans) - The only palm that is adapted to the mangrove biome, this species is native to the estuarine and coastal areas in the Indian and Pacific oceans. Its leaves are used for thatching in the Philippines.
Buwaya (Crocodylus porosus) - A crocodilian native to saltwater and freshwater rivers from India’s east coast across the Southeast Asian region to Australia, and even Micronesia. This crocodile is known as the largest living reptile on earth.
